The atmosphere was buzzing with anticipation as nearly 20 attendees of all ages, including Mr. Kwabena Poku, gathered to witness the Italian legend unfold. The iconic Monza circuit, known for its incredible speeds, promised a spectacle, and we would be lying if we didn’t say it delivered in spades. Charles Leclerc, Ferrari’s Golden Boy and the hometown hero of the Tifosi- emerged victorious in a heart-stopping race, securing his first win since Monaco.

However, Max Verstappen, the reigning champion and the current championship leader, held onto his championship lead with a P6 finish, further amplifying the drama. The McLaren duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri made their mark too, finishing P2 and P3 and taking a significant chunk of points away from RedBull in the World Constructor’s Championship.

Beyond the on-track action, the watch party was a testament to the growing and inclusive nature of the F1 fandom in Ghana. The cheers and gasps that erupted throughout the race resonated with the excitement in the room. Notably, we were particularly delighted to see a strong presence of female fans, proving to the world that the love for F1 transcends gender barriers.
