Performance, luxury, and style are some qualities synonymous with German cars. Speaking of German cars, there are three brands that everyone and their grandma knows. Of course, we are talking about Audi, Mercedes, and BMW. But what is the best brand out of them all? Keep reading if you want to find out the answer.

Sheer Driving Pleasure

Let’s start by taking a look at Bayerische Motoren Werke GmbH, otherwise known simply as BMW. Initially founded in 1916 as a railway motor production company, it began to produce cars in the late 1920s.

BMW is a favorite brand in Ghana. The brand has its own owners club, with whom we collaborated recently. Nowadays, the humble company has turned into an empire, owning other major car brands like Mini and Rolls-Royce.

BMW produces a lot of executive vehicles, including the ultra-luxurious 7-Series, the X7 sedan, the best-selling X5, the 5-Series, and the 7-Series. However, the company also has a high-performance wing called the “M” division, which has produced many legendary cars throughout the years. The M1 supercar, the M3, M5, and the M8 are regarded by many car nuts to be some of the fastest and most fun to drive cars ever made.

Progress by Technology

Compared to BMW, Audi is a relatively young company. The genesis of the company roots back to 1932. It broke through to the car market in 1972 with the Audi 80 sedan. Later, it found massive success in rallying with the iconic, all-wheel-drive Audi Quattro.

Nowadays, Audi has forayed into the production of fuel-powered and electric vehicles. The Audi A8 reigns at the top as the brand’s flagship, while models like the A1, A3, A4, and the Q-Series of SUVs continue to be some of the best-selling luxury cars in the world. Additionally, the brand has its supercar in the form of the R8 supercar.

The Best or Nothing

Out of the three German manufacturers we talked about today, Mercedes is by far the oldest. We should thank Mercedes’s founder, Karl Benz as he was the person who founded the automobile back in 1886.

Since the beginning, the brand has been involved in various forms of motor racing, including endurance racing and Formula one. It is also one of the most popular car brands in Ghana, with models like the S-Class, E-Class, C-Class, and the A-Class being popular vehicles among Ghanaian car lovers.

Mercedes has produced its fair share of supercars as well. In the 90s they made the legendary CLK GTR, and in the 2000s they made both the SLS AMG and the AMG GT supercars. Additionally, it has its performance wing in the form of AMG, which produces a lineup of tuned Mercedes models with heaps of power.
