FP1
FP1 kicked off with a bang – literally – as Ollie Bearman found the wall at Turn 9/10, bringing out a red flag. Before that, the session saw an early pace from Charles Leclerc on mediums, which was quickly surpassed by reigning World Champion Max Verstappen. Carlos Sainz then briefly topped the timesheets on softs, only to be outpaced by Lando Norris, who ultimately set the fastest lap of the session with a 1m 17.252s run.

The session was interrupted by two red flags, the first for gravel clean-up and the second for Bearman’s crash. Several rookies made their F1 debuts in the session, including Liam Lawson, Kimi Antonelli, Jack Doohan, Isack Hadjar, and Gabriel Bortoleto.
Lewis Hamilton struggled with his Ferrari, finishing 12th, while his former rival Fernando Alonso landed inside the top 10. The session saw a mix of medium and soft tire runs, with the softs proving crucial for setting the fastest times. Home hero Doohan and Verstappen both ran into gravel traps adding to the early session drama.
- Lando Norris McLaren 1:17.252
- Carlos Sainz Williams 1:17.401
- Charles Leclerc Ferrari 1:17.461
FP2

The Ferrari of Charles Leclerc took home the honors by the time the chequered flag dropped to mark the end of FP2, followed home by the pair of McLarens. This session was also marked by several incidents, including a near-miss between Norris and Lawson in the pit lane exit, and trips to the gravel traps by Hulkenberg and Gasly. Ollie Bearman had to remain on the sidelines due to repairs from his FP1 crash.
The early pace was set by Leclerc and Hamilton on medium tires in the Ferraris, but the order shifted as drivers switched to softs. Tsunoda briefly topped the times before Norris set the fastest lap, which was then beaten by Leclerc’s 1m 16.439s. Verstappen lost track time due to setup changes, limiting him to seventh.
Racing Bulls had a strong session, with Tsunoda and Hadjar finishing fourth and sixth, respectively. Piastri and Norris secured second and third for McLaren, while Hamilton finished fifth. The session saw several drivers struggling, including Lawson during a race simulation run, and rookies Antonelli and Bortoleto. Bearman attempted to run near the end but did not manage to get in any laps.
