Max Verstappen secured his fourth consecutive World Driver’s Championship title in Las Vegas, despite finishing a modest fifth. His consistent performance throughout the season shut down hopes for his rival Lando Norris, who finished the race in P6. The real fireworks came from Mercedes though, as George Russell, starting from pole, dominated the race from start to finish for his second win of the season. His teammate Lewis Hamilton, starting a lowly tenth, clawed his way back to second, solidifying Mercedes’ night of glory.
Ferrari secured a podium with Carlos Sainz in third, while Charles Leclerc battled tire issues to finish fourth. The midfield was a fierce battle, with Nico Hulkenberg leading Haas to a valuable eighth place and being the best of the rest.
The race wasn’t without drama, as technical woes forced Pierre Gasly out early, and Alex Albon suffered a late retirement for Williams.
With the Las Vegas chapter closed, Formula 1 sets its sights on Qatar for the penultimate round, so stay tuned to Supercars.com.GH for our coverage!
