Things to Watch Out for at the 2024 United States Grand Prix

The 2024 Formula 1 season is entering its final quarter, and we here at Supercars.com.GH, along with millions of fans all around the world, are looking forward to the 2024 United States Grand Prix as it promises to deliver yet another thrilling race. With the championship battle heating up between Lando and Max, as well as several teams vying for top positions in the Constructor’s Championship, the stage is set for a dramatic weekend of racing at the Circuit of the Americas. Excited? Then, join us as we take you on a tour of the things to Watch Out for at the 2024 United States Grand Prix.

The most significant storyline heading into Austin is the ongoing championship duel between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. Verstappen, the defending 3-time World Champion, holds a comfortable lead for the moment, but Norris’ recent victory last time out in Singapore has narrowed the gap. The next few races will be crucial for both drivers, as every point could make a difference in deciding the Championship.

While Verstappen has been dominant throughout the season, McLaren’s resurgence has been a major talking point. The team’s impressive performance has put them in a strong position to challenge and overtake the dominant Red Bull for the constructors’ championship. Norris’ speed and consistency have been instrumental in McLaren’s success so far, and the team’s upgrades particularly in the aero department have given them a significant advantage.

Beyond the championship battle, several other drivers have the potential to impress at Austin. Norris’ teammate Oscar Piastri has also shown flashes of brilliance throughout the season and could be a contender for a podium finish this time around. Daniel Ricciardo’s replacement – Liam Lawson’s first races for VCARD will also be a point of interest for many, as he looks to make a strong impression in his controversial first outing for this season.

The Circuit of the Americas has a history of producing some exciting races, and we expect the 2024 edition to be no different. The track’s layout, with its combination of high-speed straights and challenging corners, provides ample overtaking opportunities and unpredictable results.

One of the most memorable moments from the recent US Grand Prix was Lewis Hamilton’s and Charles Leclerc’s disqualification in 2023. Despite finishing on the podium, both drivers were stripped of their positions due to a technical infringement. Another notable moment was Kimi Räikkönen’s victory in 2018, which marked his first and only win in his return to Ferrari.

As the 2024  Formula 1 season is slowly reaching its climax, the United States Grand Prix will play a crucial role in determining the fates of several drivers. Make sure to stay tuned with Supercars.com.GH, as we’ll be bringing you exclusive coverage of the whole Grand Prix weekend.
