‘Reliability’ and ‘Supercar’ are two terms you’ll rarely hear in the same sentence. However, one supercar stands head and shoulders above the competition in the reliability front. Can you guess what it is? If you answered “Lamborghini Huracan,” you are correct! In this article, we’ll tell you all about this Italian bull’s reliability.
Named after a Spanish fighting bull in typical Lamborghini fashion, the smaller sibling of the Aventador made its worldwide debut in 2014. In its current form, the Huracan is one of the last V10-powered supercars on the road.Â
This 5.2-liter powerplant lies just behind the driver’s head and churns out a monstrous 602 horsepower. But wait, there’s more! The more exclusive STO and Tecnica models have a revised engine that makes 29 horses more.
The Huracan is a beloved platform for aftermarket tuners as well. Twin-turbocharged/Supercharged Huracans with well over 2000 horsepower are a common site on dragstrips worldwide. A twin-turbocharged car by Underground Racing currently 1holds the record for being the fastest Huracan, having completed the ¼ mile in an eye-watering 7.275 seconds.
Supercar owners don’t care about fuel efficiency; if they did, they would be slightly disappointed with the Huracan. The baby bull only gets 13 mpg around the city and 18 out on the highway. However, we’re sure you wouldn’t care much about fuel efficiency when barreling down the road at 200mph. Furthermore, traction and stability control are always there to keep you from getting into too much trouble.
Right out of the factory, the Lamborghini Huracan is covered under a three-year or unlimited-mile warranty. But, unless you cause some major mischief, you’ll probably never need to claim this warranty, thanks to the reliability of this raging bull.
As we mentioned, this is one of the most reliable supercars money can buy. It has only been recalled a handful of times during its eight-year production run. On the other hand, one of the Huracans’ closest competitors- the Mercedes AMG GT, has been recalled 18 times in the last seven years alone! Lamborghini reliability doesn’t seem like a far-fetched thought now, does it?
Throughout the years, this Lamborghini has been recognized by many automotive enthusiasts to be one of the best all-rounders in the supercar market, and it is for good reason. The speed, noise, performance, and reliability combined make the Huracan the perfect supercar to zip around Ghanaian streets.
At the beginning of this article, we mentioned that the Huracan might be the most reliable supercar out there, and we think now you understand why. However, there is another supercar that shares most of the Huracans components. Want to know what that is? Then head on over to this article on our website!
