BMW M5 vs BMW M4

Two Crazy Cool Powerhouses

There were so many cool BMWs on display at the Labadi Beach Hotel during the August BMW The club met for an interactive session with Eng Ibrahim Mahama, owner of Dzata cement and other prominent businesses and also a BMW enthusiast. At the meet, there were some cool Bimmers, like the F82 M4, F10 M5, X7 M50, and Alpina B7, the latter owned by Mr. Mahama. We are going to talk about two of the powerful BMs that were there; the BMW F82 M4 and F10 M5.

Before we get into that, let’s do a little bit of history.BMW (Bayerische Motoren Werke AG) is a German Auto company founded in 1917 that makes luxury cars and motorcycles. BMW launched the F82 M4 coupe as a five-trim level series and produced them from 2014-2020. The trims available were the F82 M4 standard, cabriolet, competition, CS, and GTS. As for the F10 M5, it was released as the sports variant of the BMW 5 Series from 2010 until BMW stopped its production in 2016. These comparisons are based on the BMW F82 M4 and F10 M5 Design, features, engines, interior, and storage.

Also, BMW offered the option to add carbon fiber in the form of a front lip and on the intercooler air vents. In addition, carbon fiber side skirts, power-folding side mirrors, and a rear quad-tip exhaust.

The F10 M5 has a center-open twin grill, optionable carbon fiber front lip, and a large rear diffuser at the back. Also, it has active xenon-led running and corner lighting, power-folding side mirrors, 19- inch wheels, and a quad-tip exhaust. The M4 gives a stylishly aggressive appearance with its two doors and side haunches, while the M5 appears muscular but sleek.

BMW M4 and M5 both have interesting features installed. Starting from connectivity, they both have an AM/FM radio, Apple car play, audio system, CD/DVD player, Bluetooth, Aux-in, and USB support. Both are limited to a top speed between 250-270 km/h and are unrestricted, the M5 is capable of reaching 300+ km/h. M4 can go from 0-100km/h in 4.2 sec while M5 will do a time of 4.4 sec. Deciding on which is more desirable depends on your preference, you know the one that will be better and suit your needs. Personally, the M4 is my ideal choice because I prefer coupes to sedans!
