In the past few years, crossovers have taken over the roads of Ghana. You’ll find them everywhere, from the highways of Accra to your local street. It takes a special vehicle to stand out from this sea of SUVs and crossovers. Luckily, the Supercars.GH November Car Of The Month – the Citroën C4 Cactus – is just that vehicle!
Stick with us until the end to learn all about the many great features and qualities of the C4 Cactus that made us choose it as our Car Of The Month. And who knows, this might be the perfect future car for you!
Let’s start by talking about the most eye-catching and talked about part of the C4 Cactus, the exterior. The body is long and narrow, giving it a distinguished look from its SUV brethren. The look of this SUV can be described as distinctly Citroën, with the brand’s signature double-stacked headlights and chrome accents brightening the front. Around the back, the Cactus has the styling cues of a coupe, akin to the much more expensive BMW X6. The taillights have an exciting V-shaped design and are linked together by a polished black trim strip.
The C4 Catus has matte black bumpers on both the front and the rear. This gives this SUV a capable and rugged look, a feature not found among its competitors. The 18-inch alloy wheels with what the manufacturer calls its “Aeroblade” design are just the cherry on top of this fresh-looking design.
The modern design that adorns the exterior carries onto the interior as well. Every surface you touch is covered by premium materials, and there is a seven-inch touchscreen in the center to complete the sophisticated feel. It comes with the company’s own Multicity Connect app hub, as well as other amenities like digital radio, Bluetooth, and satellite navigation. Additionally, the 360-degree camera system with a top-down view makes parking much safer and easier.
There is a seating capacity for five adults, and if you require, the rear seats can be folded to accommodate extra cargo. Citroën quotes a cargo capacity of 380L in the rear, which can go up to 1250L with the second row folded.
The C4 Cactus offers two different engines for drivers to choose from. The 1.2-liter PureTech is petrol powered and produces 108 horsepower. On the other hand, the 1.5-liter BlueHDi diesel is the more efficient option, although it produces 8 horsepower less. The diesel is the faster option as well, completing the 0 – 62 mph dash in just 9.3 seconds, which is 0.7 seconds faster than the petrol. Paired with a comfortable suspension and a six-speed transmission, this SUV is the perfect fit for those long highway cruises.
