5 UPCOMING CAR FEATURES IN 2022 AND BEYOND

CAR FEATURES NOW AND IN THE FUTURE

upcoming_car_features_post_img_01_hollogram

The car industry has witnessed massive changes since its inception, from the gas-powered Karl Benz invention to the supercharged forced induction engines in today’s supercars. The automobile scene has just about seen it all.

HOW FAR CARS HAVE COME

Just a few years ago, a self-driven car was inconceivable and impractical. Today, cruise Robo-taxis are roaming the streets of San Francisco without drivers. The Jetson One eTVOL; personal aerial electrical cars ply the skies of Sweden. Do we know what’s coming next?

WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS

Although we aren’t quite sure what is coming next, we can be sure that this is just the beginning as the automobile industry is set to unveil more groundbreaking technologies. Here is a closer look at some of them:

THE BLIND-SPOT DETECTION SYSTEM

We start with a technology that helps the driver detect vehicles or pedestrians in their blind spot. This feature is a sensor installed on both sides of the vehicle. It is indicated on the electric outside rear-view mirror anytime a car is close to the driver.

AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM

This system is designed to reduce the number of road accidents caused by inattentive drivers. The AEB technology applies the brakes when the car senses an obstacle, even when the driver has lost concentration.

ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM

Another advanced feature we think is groundbreaking is the Advanced Driver Assistance technology(ADAS). It is connected to the AEBS and monitors the car’s immediate environment. The ADAS functions to help the driver adjust to their immediate environment to avoid accidents.

It warns the driver of any obstacle around the car, for example, if they are going off lane, overspeeding, etc. Although this system has been in existence for a while, only high-end vehicles have it. We’re excited about this feature because it will soon be available in “average” cars for a small fee.

WIRELESS SMARTPHONE CONNECTIVITY

Some cars have smartphone connectivity that allows you to connect your smartphone to the car via a cable and browse the internet, make phone calls, and send text messages. However, this technology is about to receive an upgrade with the introduction of wireless smartphone connectivity. This means you won’t need a cable to connect your phone to your car.

AI ROBOTS

AI Bots are replicas of Google Assistant, Alexa, or Siri. They help the driver accomplish simple tasks like turning on the air conditioning by voice command. Like the wireless smartphone technology, AI bots have been implemented in high-end cars, but that is about to change as most cars will get their AI bots in the near future.

IN CONCLUSION

So, looking at all these technologies, it’s safe to say that road accidents will be halved, protecting lives and property while increasing comfort and convenience. The future is fascinating.
