With a new technical detective in action, was there any shuffling of the field? <a href=\"http:\/\/supercars.test\">Supercars.com.GH<\/a> has got everything you need to know!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"2025 Spanish Grand Prix - Day 2\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HWmqDl2H-GM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fp3\">FP3<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Oscar Piastri continued his momentum into the final practice session at the Spanish Grand Prix, topping FP3 with a time of 1m 12.387s. This impressive lap put him over half a second clear of his McLaren teammate Lando Norris, solidifying McLaren&#8217;s status as the team to beat heading into qualifying. Charles Leclerc finished third for Ferrari, followed by George Russell&#8217;s Mercedes, who also showed promising pace. Max Verstappen, despite his efforts, could only manage fifth, nearly a second off Piastri&#8217;s pace, showing Red Bull still has work to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session began quietly, with Franco Colapinto among the first to head out. Yuki Tsunoda briefly topped the times early on with medium tyres before Norris took over. As more drivers switched to softs for qualifying simulation runs, grip issues were a common complaint, with both Verstappen and Tsunoda reporting sliding. Liam Lawson and Ollie Bearman both had trips off-track, and Isack Hadjar continued his strong weekend form, placing sixth, ahead of Kimi Antonelli and home hero Fernando Alonso. Lewis Hamilton and Lawson rounded out the top ten, setting the stage for what promised to be a thrilling qualifying session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/supercars.com.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/f1_wk22_day2_article_img-03.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12691\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-qualifying\">Qualifying<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a nightmare for Yuki Tsunoda and jubilation for Oscar Piastri as the McLaren driver secured pole position for the Spanish Grand Prix. Q1 saw an early exit for Tsunoda, who finished last, and a disappointing home race for Carlos Sainz, who also dropped out. Franco Colapinto suffered an issue in the pit lane, failing to set a representative time. Piastri topped Q1, two-tenths clear of Verstappen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/supercars.com.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/f1_wk22_day2_article_img-04.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12690\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Q2 continued McLaren&#8217;s dominance, with Piastri once again setting the fastest time, just ahead of Norris. Alex Albon narrowly missed out on Q3 by three-hundredths of a second, accusing Haas&#8217;s Ollie Bearman of impeding him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"12693\" src=\"https:\/\/supercars.com.gh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/f1_wk22_day2_article_img-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12693\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Q3 shootout delivered a thrilling conclusion for the session. Piastri initially set the benchmark, but Norris then edged him out, with the benefit of a tow. However, Piastri found another gear on his final lap, posting a stunning 1m 11.546s to reclaim pole by over two-tenths from Norris, securing a McLaren front-row lockout. Verstappen and Russell set identical times once again, with Verstappen taking third due to setting his lap earlier. Hamilton claimed fifth, followed by Antonelli, Leclerc, Gasly, Hadjar, and Alonso, completing the top ten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Who will take home the victory in tomorrow\u2019s Grand Prix?
