The Honda Civic is one of the best family cars around, and we here at Supercars.com.GH just got the opportunity to check out one of the first 2025 models that have landed here in Ghana. Been thinking of getting your hands on one of the best family cars around? Then, you’ll love what we have in store!
The 2025 Civic range brings a whole lot of improvements to the almost flawless formula that the company has perfected over the years. Powered by a hybrid powertrain that pairs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors, the Civic Hybrid delivers a combined 200 horsepower, ensuring a smooth and efficient driving experience. This setup is similar to what we’ve seen before on the Accord Hybrid and CR-V Hybrid, ensuring a familiar and reliable performance. Unlike the CR-V Hybrid that comes with all-wheel drive, the Civic Hybrid retains its front-wheel drive powertrain, prioritizing fuel efficiency and a lightweight design. Starting this year, the hybrid powertrain will be available as an option for the sport trim and will also come as standard for the top-tier sport touring trim.

If you prefer a traditional gasoline engine, the 2025 Civic also offers a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering 150 horsepower and paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. While this combination may not offer the same level of acceleration as the turbocharged 1.5-liter engine of last year, it still provides adequate power for daily driving and urban commuting. Sadly, a manual transmission is no longer offered in the regular Civic, leaving the stick-shift exclusive for performance-oriented models like Si and Civic Type R models.
The 2025 model also introduces a few cosmetic updates to freshen up the Civic’s appearance. We are talking about a set of revised headlights and a redesigned front bumper to help distinguish the new model year from its predecessor.
So, what do you think about the all-new Honda Civic? Let us know your thoughts, and stay tuned to Supercars.com.GH for more exclusive coverage just like this!
